Increase in water allocation for municipal water use due to COVID-19
The National Water Resources Board (NWRB), in consultation with the Technical Working Group on the Angat Dam Operations, increases the water allocation for the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) from the current 42 cubic meters per second (CMS) to its normal allocation of 46 CMS effective today, March 12, until March 31, 2020.

Postponement of World Water Day Philippines 2020 Activities
In line with Resolution No. 10 of the Inter-agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Disease “Recommendations for the Management of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Situation”, major World Water Day Philippines 2020 activities are postponed as follows:
NWRB PARTICIPATES IN THE MANILA BAY REHABILITATION
The National Water Resources Board (NWRB) conducted a clean-up in Baseco beach and Manila Bay on January 8, 2020 in line with the campaign of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) to rehabilitate Manila Bay.
Since the last modification of the Standard Rules and Regulations in the operation of waterworks system in 2008 pursuant to Res. No. 019-0508, there are changes that need to be incorporated as some items are no longer applicable, especially with the issuance of NWRB Resolution No. 25-0818 on the adoption of the NWRB Economic Regulatory Framework (“Revised Tariff Methodology – 2018”) and NWRB Resolution No.30-0619 on the Policy Guidelines on the Submission of Annual Report.
