NWRB reaches out to domestic water users in Nagcarlan, Laguna

March 19-20, 2018

A team of experts from the National Water Resources Board went to Nagcarlan, Laguna for an intensive campaign highlighting domestic water use

The two-day campaign aims to account domestic water users in the area and encourage them to register their sources with NWRB. However, the activity also tackled the issuance of water permit for other uses, the salient features of the Water Code of the Philippines and Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).

As a result, few domestic wells were partially registered due to incompleteness of requirements. Domestic water users are required to fill-up the registration form and have it notarized, submit a proof of land ownership, and pay P100.

More than ten business owners, mostly of leisure resorts, expressed their interest in applying for a water permit. They were given application forms for submission at the NWRB or its deputized agencies together with the complete requirements and payment of P7,200. The list of requirements is available at the NWRB website,
