(1986 – 1997) Taking every step to excellence, he served the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) as a geologist and participated in various RP-Japan Mineral Exploration Projects in Palawan, Panay Island and Samar. He also acted as Project Leader on the RP-France Project on the structural studies of the northern segment of the Philippine Fault island in Nothern Luzon and Southeastern Luzon.
(1994 – 1996) He became a Professorial Lecturer in National Institute of Geological Sciences at University of the Philippines, Diliman.
(1997 – 2000) He was the Supervising Geologist/Supervising Science Research Specialist in MGB and was assigned as the Technical Assistant at the Office of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
(April 2000 – March 2004) He was the Regional Expert, Coordinating Committee for Geoscience Programmes in East and Southeast Asia (CCOP) Technical Secretariat at Bangkok, Thailand.
(April 2004 – February 2005) He was the Supervising Science Research Specialist at MGB.
(March 2005 – January 2011) He became the Officer-in-Charge of the Planning and Policy Division at MGB and was assigned to the Planning and Policy Division.
(February 2011 – Present) He became the Officer-in-Charge of the Lands Geological Survey Division at MGB.
Awards and Distinctions
Being a breakthrough leader, he topped the 1986 Professional Geologists’ Licensure Board Examination administered by the Professional Regulation Board (PRC) in Manila. During the French Doctoral Thesis Dissertation in Valbonne, France in 1994, he was awarded “Tres Honorable” (Very Honorable Mention) in Universite de Nice-Sophia Antipolis. In 1999, he received the Best Paper Award in 12th Annual Geological Convention of the Geological Society of the Philippines at Pasig City. In 2005, he also received the Outstanding Thomasian Award in Science and Technology at the 54th Foundation day of Sto. Tomas Pampanga.
